Chakra Healing

Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning “wheel”.  This is a constant flow of energy. Chakras are the energy points therefore are the source of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual energy.

In the human body there are seven major chakras that aligned with the spine.  In order to have optimal health all chakras must be unblocked and free flowing. Each chakra is associated with a specific color, food, and of course crystals that help balance the human mind and behaviors.

In order to balance your chakras, each stone should be placed on the appropriate energy center as well as  eating a variety of whole foods with the associated colors. Daily affirmations pertaining to the associated chakra also helps with healing.  

BASE CHAKRA - 1st Chakra

Function: Trust

The base chakra known as the first chakra is located at the lower base of the spine and is associated with the color red, representing a passion for life. Here, it it learned to be stabilized.

The base chakra helps will “grounding” to the earth. This chakra is in accordance with human survival mode and self-preservation.   Red and black stones as well as whole foods help keep the root chakras energy flowing.

Base Chakra Related Mantras: I am fully grounded and supported. I Joyfully nourish my mind body and soul. I have enough. I know enough. I am enough. I accept am healthy and abundant in my natural state.

SACRAL CHAKRA - 2nd Chakra

Function:Creativity

Around three inches below the navel is the second chakra, associated with the color orange. This chakra is associated with human relations, our ability to give and receive, sexual and passionate love as well as our creativity. Orange food and stones help keep the sacral chakra aligned.

Sacral Chakra Associated Mantras: I am open to receive all the goodness that surrounds me. I am creative and courageous. I am beyond capable. I listen to my inner truth.

SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA - 3rd Chakra

Function: Wisdom,power

The solar plexus chakra is located just below the ribs and is associated with the color yellow, representing analytical thought and intellectual activity.  This is the chakra that is considered the emotional center. It aides in our ability to understand and embrace the truths of life, therefore gives us power and control over our lives. Yellow stones such as Citrine and foods like bananas keep this chakra aligned.

Solar Plexus related Mantras: I am enough and what I do is enough. I love and value myself. I trust myself. I am powerful and radiant. I give myself permission to enjoy every little thing I choose to do with my life.

HEART CHAKRA - 4th Chakra

Function: Love, Healing

The heart chakra is located at the centre of chest at the level with the heart, of course.  The associated color is green, which represents healing and balance. Pink is the other color that is associated with this center and signifies unconditional love and compassion. This chakra is the energy center that creates the bodies vibrations of  love, connection, acceptance, transformation and powerful healing. It is responsibility for ones spiritual association and connection to the collective consciousness. Being the bridge between the chakras the heart chakra brings balance between the energy fields.

Heart  Chakra Related Mantras: I am eternal love. I deserve good healthy, prosperity and eternal love. Everyday, I grow and expand.

THROAT CHAKRA - 5th Chakra

Function: communication

The fifth chakra is located at the throat and  the associated color is blue. The throat chakra represents knowledge of oneness with the divine guidance.  It is the area that allows one to speak thier truth. The throat chakra is our communication centre, thus giving us our ability to verbally express ourselves and to be able to have open, clear communication of feelings and thoughts.  Ability to release. It is the gateway to the Higher Consciousness and the gateway through which the emotions contained in the heart pass, to become balanced and harmonized.

THIRD EYE CHAKRA - 6th Chakra

Function: Awareness, intuition

The third eye chakra is the sixth healing chakra and is located right above the eye brow.  The associated color is indigo and is the bodies location for intuition, self awareness and inner guidance.  

This chakra also aids in our ability to connect with the higher consciousness, It is the center for emotional and spiritual love.

Third Eye Chakra Related Mantras: I am passion, productive and powerful. I am guided by my inner wisdom. I listen and trust my inner voice.

CROWN CHAKRA - 7th Chakra

Function: Spirituality

The crown chakra is located around and above the head. The associated color is violet which represents enlightenments or white which represents purity, perfection and eternal bless.

This is the energy centre of an individual’s spirituality, enlightenment, dynamic thoughts and energy.  The crown center allows one to become self aware and conscious, while detaching from personal emotion.
