Navajo rugs serve as versatile works of arts in homes all over the southwest. Bring home Santa Fe vibes through this handcrafted work of art. A family project, mothers and daughters went through many phases while weaving each Navajo rug. Starting with raw wool which goes through many processes of cleaning and naturally dying while getting prepared for weaving. Then the mother would teach the daughter how to spin the wool prior to begin using on their own small loom. The time it takes to create a Navajo rug masterpiece is phenomenal.
